I have an 6S battery pack from an old board that I would love to reuse (two 3S hobbyking Lipos). I guess all I’d need is a small electronics module to connect to it and there are plenty. However 6S looks like a problem and charging even more. I found an interesting one on ali though but can’t seem to find any reviews or documentation on it.
Does anybody here know if I’ll be able to accomplish the plan with this?
Was able to find it under
A07I 45W 2-6S Mobile Power Modul
I tried looking for that and the description is vague so at least I can’t tell. A number of us have looked into and accomplished charging batteries via USB and here’s a thread: USB-C for charging - #108 by Battery_Mooch
The board came. I was able to actually charge the battery to 25.2V via USB-C. The board got HOT though. You will melt plastic if you put this into anything 3D printed from PLA.
Will have to look for an option to cool it a little (fan or heatsink). Other than that really happy!
