Probably because I weight relatively light and live in relatively cold climate  I don’t have heat issues. Whats your setup?

I’m a 200lb rider who uses an Ant 63100 170KV for a single belt drive (TB6 & 12S4P @ 50 battery amps) and haven’t had any significant issues with heat. Even on 20+ mile rides involving fairly steep hills.

I’m running gear drives, 105kg on a 13s. (Ambient temp 32c)

It’s stays around 75-80C, (still hot), if I just amble along. As soon as I crank in some juice the (13s), the motors heat up, and reach thermal limits.

Just not impressed at all.

Man it’s difficult to buy these 63100 motors… Thank goodness I checked the forum for the key words “Ant innovation” and I saved myself some money.

I think I’ll be buying the flipshits (2) through their web which shipped to Spain are @ 320€.

Anyone have any advice b4 i jump on them? I haven’t checked Aps as all they motors seem to have 10mm shafts.

Also wanted to add this

Looks like the marketing team didn’t ask the engineers!

TB doesn’t list them on their website, but when I emailed him he had some 63100 190kv 8mm in stock.

APS has an option to change the shaft size

Thanks man! Aps are all available on backorder so I’ll just check if they have it in stock when I make the purchase!

190kv it’s too much for me as I can’t change my 4’5 gear ratio (still studying if this is possible) :frowning: they look beautiful tho.

Just bought 2 with an 8mm round shaft. An absolutely great deal especially because they have free shipping!

How did your 63100 190kv motors from banggood.com work out for you?

Worked great, no complaints. They made the normal flipsky screaming noises at high speed.

Side by side with flipshit motors they were considerably worse
