Ive had a quick test ride and fuck DKP trucks! This thing feels wild and im not sure 4WD + DKP is a good idea, ill swap the rubbish china thane bushings and try again.
Interesting build, I’d have probably have given up on the evolve parts!
Are you running the same amount of power to the front and rear wheels?
Good question, at the moment yes but is something to play with… such a strange feeling on DKP.
The whole build was around the Gen1, we’ve essentially tried to get the most out of it, there isnt a mm more space in there trust me! A good challenge
I like the idea of breathing new life into an older board like this. Yes, the bushings that come with them are hot garbage.
I pulled the upper arms and use them like a tkp. Been working well like that for a while now.
Absolutely mate, I cant wait to see someone who can ride DKP have a go because I cant ride them at all. I have channel (and other 
) trucks in my blood now!

It was a short, intense and conflicted love affair! The board was the absolute best thing I’ve ever ridden, it’s a dream come true.
Why am I using the past tense? Well, the board is now a 3WD. In the wise words of Monty Python, “E’s not pinin’! 'E’s passed on! This motor is no more! He has ceased to be! 'E’s expired and gone to meet 'is maker! 'E’s a stiff! Bereft of life, 'e rests in peace! If you hadn’t nailed 'im to the perch 'e’d be pushing up the daisies! 'Is metabolic processes are now 'istory! 'E’s off the twig! 'E’s kicked the bucket, 'e’s shuffled off ‘is mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin’ choir invisible!! THIS IS AN EX-MOTOR!!”
So, one of the Elofty motors failed (the winding is crap) so the board is dead for now.
@Lee_Wright and the boys at Apex did a absolute beast of a job, can’t fault them, but unfortunately the DD technology isn’t yet mature enough. Better days will come.
I’ll leave you with the handover video, and I’ll try to control my urge to buy replacement units.

Just thought I’d leave an update here.
Been enjoying this board a lot as a nice, stealth fast cruiser, and today I broke my speed record on it. For some of you speed deamons this will be run of the mill stuff, but I had a ball at the Carve Cyclopark event in London today
DKPs. Respek.
Not sure I deserve respect for something that is essentially retarded, as DKPs are not the setup of choice for speed.
Then again, I can possibly claim the title of fastest DKP rider… [releases inner Clarkson]… in the world.
