Planning on roughing up the top surface and bottom of metal plate and doing the top plate with the fiberglass layer first
I might try taping off the hole/bottom in order to prevent the resin running out.
I guess I could put 6 bolts into it so it holds the fiberglass in place and do the bottom side first then it soaks into that layer under the top plate.
Anyone have any bad experiences with the v1 TB40 deck? As much as we don’t like TB anymore, it’s a cheap deck/enclosure and I wanna build something small to replace my other street build which is mostly dead at this point.
Oh no! That totally sucks! 5 rides? That’s ridiculous.!Thanks for the heads up. Any technique/way to reinforce that area to avoid the cracking? I’m a total noob when it comes to deck integrity.
Good idea Bill. Btw, I just checked the torqueboards site and under the “longboard decks” section it shows the V2 deck + enclosure in stock for the same price as the V1.
This pic actually is a bit outdated at this point, motors are now swapped for flipskys and just this weekend I finally added the metr that I got from @Evwan and got my puck working. Also working on adding adding one of @tomiboi’s bindings for the front foot but just trying to nail down the placement.
