perhaps a little cf/fg reinforcement is a good idea for the corner
I’m just gonna throw a glob of epoxy/jb weld into the corner to be safe

do i have to use epoxy for the inserts? my insert seem to be a tight fit in the pre drilled holes already.
Yeah, currently you would want to use epoxy. JB Weld Cold Weld seems to work the best but tape off the bottom of the inserts to prevent any epoxy going into the threads.
JB Weld is crazy strong. You won’t be able to get those inserts out afterwards.
I got nervous about cracks from routing also, so only routed the middle of the recess (not near the corners) and did Unidirectional CF reinforcing.

It’s been hot as shit outside here in AZ, and I have taken her out for a few hot laps around the neighborhood. I’ve been too lazy to put my helmet and gear on, so I haven’t pushed the speeds past 20 MPH. Happy with the torque and responsiveness of this build. I have also found the smart reverse to be my preferred method of braking. Overall I am stoked that my first build turned out so well. I do plan on getting a Speedboard at some point in my life, though.
I went with the TB complete setup because I wanted a basic DIY experience without having to wire stuff, solder anything, or buy parts from several different vendors. Basically, plug and play is A-OK with me!
Link for this grip tape?
Dude this is a sweet build
Thanks man!
Hell of a nice first go, dude. We need as many plug and play options as we can get.
Thank you sir. Honestly I would rather spend more time riding versus trying to figure out how to make stuff work!
What was the total damage ? it’s probably cheaper than a new evolve and definitely faster with more range
Not much cheaper, I think right around $1900 if my memory serves correct. I wanted to get my hands dirty, so I felt easy DIY was the best route to go.
How’d u get ur hands on those escs? Is it kinda a 'buy $XXXX amount of parts to unlock the Torque6 perk?
LOL, dumb luck mostly. I emailed a few times back and forth with TB and Dex sent me an invoice! Told em I wanted a complete deck with everything, I honestly had no idea the TB6’s were difficult to acquire.
Just email
Him it works guuuud.
I just send like 12 emails a day… now I have 6 TB6s . Trust me it’s the way
We gotta test in a more controlled environment. Haha.
Maybe soon, we’ll launch it on the site. lol
What he means @Nacho is email
Him and your board can serve as a “more controlled testing environment”
Baaahahahahahahah!!! Im dead
Am I telling the truth or am I telling the truth
