At the risk of getting involved, and as much as I respect you guys for the products you produce and the innovations you provide, this is not the right way to go about this imo. If what @Titoxd1000 is saying and posting is true, then there was an error on your side. It’s okay, it happens.
Whats not okay is to try and blame the customer and say “you’re the only one doing this and therefore youre at fault” or “well regardless of what we wrote, there was no photo so really you should’ve known better”
Come on guys, you have been here long enough to see how we deal wit these things, and there is no debate that when a vendor apologises for a mistake, it goes over so much better and is much more acceptable and admirable as opposed to any other excuse/ explanation/ method of coping.
Anyways, i hope that you and @Titoxd1000 reach a satisfactory solution. This kind of drama is bad for everyone.
This is a mistake, yes. Mistakes happen, we fix them, but the drama doesn’t help. @Titoxd1000 should message me using e-mail. All of the issues I had were solved that way no problem. Writing here and raising forum drama is not helping anyone at all, that’s not the way the problems are solved.
I did not come here looking for drama. I That said I do not like being blamed for going off the product description. I’m glad that’s fixed now and even left suggestion to make the parts compatible.
My question maybe misunderstood, now knowing how 2.9" wheel doesn’t fit Bergmeisters tires… How does Bergmeister WHEELS fit the ss mini gear drive? I’ll email you about it
Oh too good to be true!
It seems that a lot of people are getting MBS trucks and hubs lately, adapting your gear drive to fit MBS hubs could be a nice business move !
I saw on the other forum that you decided not to do MBS Rockstars because of their plastic material, but meanwhile MBS has released a sturdier Pro aluminium version that comes now with their new Dylan Warren Pro Model (wich I just got )
If you think you can adapt the drive, I’m willing to buy it, test-drive and report!
Hey, I got mine from @MarkOneBoards, It’s on the way so I cannot confirm what I’m about to say…
When I purchased it, I was under the impression that the description was the same as here : https://powerkiteshop.com/mbs-pro-97.htm but now they changed the description on Mbs sites and MarkOneBoard site, apparently the hubs are now Rockstar II and the shockblocks are Orange.
Now I don’t know what I’m about to receive… I’ll tell you in a couple of days @MBS might be able to help us also
Sorry to disappoint, but your DWII is almost certainly coming with nylon Rockstar II hubs. The description on the powerkiteshop site is a mistake. The pictures are correct.
The previous version of the Dylan Warren (pagan wolf graphic) has the aluminium hubs, but we changed the spec for the new one. That’s probably where the confusion arose for powerkiteshop. Dylan loves the RSII hubs. They’re a little lighter and indestructible. 7 years in the market and I’ve yet to see one break. I shouldn’t down-sell our own product but the main advantage of the aluminium hubs is aesthetic (which is important too of course). MBS Europe will follow up with powerkiteshop.
I trust your statements, but now you have to convince manufacturers like @3DServisas that those hubs will hold and open the market to more motor mounts/wheel pulleys for the Rockstar pattern.
I understand 3DServisas concern about those Nylon hubs, we’ve all seen on this forum pictures of a shattered plastic Matrix 2 baseplate, in normal Mountainboard conditions Nylon seems like the best go-to material but forces are applied differently in our hobby and there is a reason why we prefer the heavy CNC to the light and affordable 3D printing around here…
Yeah, I totally understand. Pics of broken Nylon top trucks don’t help my case . But the Rockstar IIs are just a different matter. Tens of thousands in the market. Years of abuse. Have yet to see one break . If anyone knows otherwise let me know - I don’t want to be spruiking something if it it’s not true. Overall I understand different markets have different preferences. Real or perceived. It doesn’t really matter. Confidence is king.
