What motor shaft sizes is the Finality HD Gear Drive compatible with?
1:4; 1:4.4 - 8 or 10mm , 1:5 - 8mm
V2 is oil instead of grease? Whatās the benefit?
Using liquid lubricant, compared to grease, offers several advantages in gear drives. Firstly, it provides better lubrication and reduces the friction coefficient between the parts. This helps to minimize friction and resistance, ultimately improving the overall efficiency of the gear drive.
Additionally, liquid lubricant can be more easily distributed among the parts and reach inaccessible areas.
Another advantage is that liquid lubricant can be less sensitive to temperature changes and higher loads. This allows for more efficient operation of the gear drive under different working conditions.
The end result is that using liquid lubricant in gear drives can reduce energy consumption and enhance the overall performance of the mechanism.
Has anyone designed any bumpers for Fatboy
SS Mini thatāll protect the gear drives and motors when you stand up the board?
Does anyone have a 3d model file of a fatboy mini? Or can someone scan one? I really want to cast these bumpers to be able to stand the board up and not mess up the gear drives.

Thanks for that, but what Iām looking for is kinda like this where it comes from the bottom and wraps around the back so to protect the drives when I want to stand the board.

Hey @3DServisas is there any possibly to upgrade Finality AT version 1 to version 2?
I would really like that free spin of the v2 drive.

Its not the balabce issue. It is a lack of free roll that finality v1 are known for.
I thought it was because of a seal that was removable? is the pic i have of the same is anyone aware? All the ones i see on 3ds website look ever so slightly different. Wouldnt the lack of freeroll also prevent balancing? Or is that a non issue on the 3ds rims?
I didnt know there is a seal that could be removed. Ill look into it tomorrow.
Yup balancing is not doable in this case.
I made a 3d printed adapter to be able to put this rim to the standard skate truck and be able to balance it.
I could be wrong, dont quote me, but i remember seeing somewhere while reading around, that you should get better freeroll if you remove the gasket in the wheel adapter i think?
If youāre interested in a couple full sets of trucks and drives, Iād probably part with them for a lot less than I got them for. Iām moving away from finality
I would definitely like to hear if anyone has gotten better freeroll after removing the gasket. Iām also wondering if the gasket would need to be replaced with a 3D printed alternative that would still block ingress of crap while not adding any friction. I canāt remember if there would be much of a gap without the gasket there.
I tried to remove it today. It is not an easy removal. It looks like that gasket is pressed in. Will try tomorrow again.
