print it like this. And try this updated profile
deeif_petg_bowden.curaprofile (1.4 KB)

Thanks! How do I add that to my cura profile?

I forgot one thing, so I updated it just now. So download the file again. The place where you exported it, you should also see an import button. Click on that and select this profile that you just downloaded.

Thanks! I’ll do that tomorrow since:

  1. I have to switch colors since my current one is super low
  2. I’m finishing the bad one right now to see how it compares

For people who are are plagued by molten plastic(PETG specifically) sticking on their nozzle and messing up their print, this is what you need. I simulated this by smearing a layer of high-temp silicone on the nozzle before, but will replace as soon as I receive them. There are different types, so choose the one that fits your heater block.

I had PETG clog my nozzle really bad today so I hit it with the oxy acetylene torch to show it who’s boss and now its a puddle.

Also does anyone else get like white dust all around their hotend when printing PETG?

Yes, when I pulled off my hotend to upgrade to direct drive it was coated with white powder.

@mishrasubhransu

this is how it turned out… (Only color I had left)

It’s missing top and bottom layers. Click on fx button next to that setting or manually set some thickness. 4 layers would be good.

You can use pliers to break off the support.

Thanks man! Once I cleaned it up it looks amazing except for the missing layers

@mishrasubhransu How do I go about making this underside of the arch less saggy?

What’s your layer height at?

Layer height = how much your nozzle moves up every layer
