3D Printing Discussions, Questions and Debugging

End stop is literally for stopping the carriage hitting the frame, so if it’s not performing that function you need to move it so the carriage hits the end stop before the frame…

im trying exactly that
how can i adjust my endstop position

this is with the carraige at the very end of the axis

not sure if you can see the endstop but the red piece isnt quite hitting it

can i somehow move that slightly fruther along the x axis?

exactly but not sure how to move the endstop
a link to a video or something would be great

Can you take a clearer picture?

here is the clearest i got

the one with the big gap is to show the setup
the gap between the end stop and the actual end of the x axis is around 5mm - 1cm

what is the best solution? got a couple in mind

the red is the carraige the teeny silver peice sticking out is the endstop

Looks like this happening because you new mounting plate is slightly wider than the old one?

Probably the easiest thing to do would be put some spacers behind the end stop so it sticks out a little more and the black mounting plate hits rather than the red carriage.

That’s an Ender 3 right?

no cr10 pro

its not a new mount rather just a piece on top of the original to allow a direct drive extruder

will try finding a washer to push the endstop out

Jamming a bit of cardboard behind it would do until you can print a nice spacer.

or i can add a small piece to the carraige side allowing it to actually hit?
wouldnt that work too?

Yep, either or, I thought the endstop spacer might be easier for you but both will work.

nah prob not cause that means having to take apart a bunch of bits and i already have a piece ready for the carriage

Okay, just make sure you are around when your printer is homing until you are sure that your new piece is on securely.

A closer is a pitcher in a sport called baseball. They come in towards the end of the game to finish it out strong (aka close the game)
