These motor mount plates looks really nice. I could make a version where the shaft of the motor goes in from the rear. The cutout wound be a straight channel instead of have a big flare towards the rear. Another ideal could be to make the plate taller to allow for the screw securing the crash bar to have a bit more real estate to be countersunk.
Open ended mounts are the best. @fujio001
The mounts I designed I was originally going to use on this board but I didnât want to wait for them to get cncd again
But these mounts do reside on another board
Thanks I cut and filed them but hand ![]()
Very honored to be given that title by someone else I donât want to take credit as I am not the first. People from ETOXX and Europe like Viktor have done inrunners with vesc. They are a huge inspiration to make my build happen.
I saw them do it so I thought why canât I?
Donât ever think youâre copying by using the same readily available hardware! Please by all means use these vescs if youâd like to! You do not need permission from a 19 year old teen kid to do that ![]()
Iâm 25 tho so no copying my 4x G300 setupđ¨/s
Yes I Definitely recall the first time I saw Viktors board leading up to Esk8con 2024
I believe We were at the Long Beach Marina gathered around his board amazed at what Viktor had brought over to compete with.
That guy is just a complete badass all around, He is so unbelievably fast like seriously.
Ive seen his creations online (prior to seeing it in person) That featured Vesc + Inrunner motors that used SSS motors (but I didnât actually realize what I was looking at, at the time.)
but definitely donât discount your personal effort to push Vesc + Inrunner setups to the side, you+Viktor+ETOXX+ANDY+BRADY+MOONEY among others im probably missing are all definitely helping to prove that it can be incredibly competitive against Full RC setups.
of course only if coupled with gnarly riding skills ![]()

it was fun riding with you at intro2speed.
you ripped away like youâve gotten way more confident on that thing. ![]()
Heck yeah it was a blast!
Glad to see you again
I gotta fix my scrape a holic problem and then I can really show you what I can do with some consistent practice.
Scraping as much as I was is a embarrassment like seriously I had to slow down a lot and then still scraped ![]()
Iâd be glad to let you borrow my g300s & my hobbywing motors for your v5
I will need more time to build the battery / for my flux before I can utilize those items and for those to just sit on a shelf bums me out Iâd much rather see you out there tearing it up!
Also Iâd be glad to let you permanently borrow up some motors for your proto I have quite a few just hanging out that are 190kv
Of the 6355 and 6380 type
Let us know what went wrong with the proto
I think itâs steering angles. set the front to max steer.
I guess that the point of having a v5 isnât it, pure swizzle stick action
None of this mid steer stuff that Iâve been on about
The thing is boggling me is that I wasnât really having this problem as much until as of recently.
I definitely had it before but a lot less of it.
My findings tonight at my local intro to speed proving grounds were of most excellence.
Previously I was so well known for scraping
And I believe figured it out
I swapped these so awesomely shredded tires to tires that had a bit more meat on them
And the extra diameter helped so much so that I didnât scrape all night
So beware if you are a v5 owner and start having a scraping problem out of nowhere the extra diameter of fresh tires literally makes a difference
This is what I was running when I was having the scrape problem
I mean it makes sense I donât know why I didnât think of it sooner
Duty cycle control will always feel like doodoo to me compared to torque control. Do formula E cars use duty cycle control?
I still think you should run max steering angle in the front.
I will crash in the mid to higher speeds forsure
I was having a bit of sizzle swizzle action last night coming out of acceleration really hammering it on the straight I get a bit squarely not sure why.
Iâve always been that way though
Though I could give it a go
Just keep the camera rolling ![]()

Awhile back I designed and printed this piece⌠pretty simple in function nothing to write home about.
All it was doing was holding the xt90 split loom snug. (So it wasnât dangling)
But I just revamped it to hide a AirTag inside it as it is a now a two piece flapjack
So now If someone steals my board I can track them down and rip their arms & legs off ![]()
Not a super fancy design but should hold up ![]()
