20s Little FOCers on stooge SRB v5#1

.

G300 is 124 x 79 x 38.5 and X12 pcb is 96.5 x 73.5 and the case with heatsink is 44mm tall. The X12 case is slightly wider and 14mm shorter. It does have mounting holes outside though.

2x G300 is $690 and 2x X12 is $598 granted that doesn’t include a case. Assuming I haven’t failed at basic math again.

I’m not sure about ruggedness but I think the X12 would have more headroom for power in current based off 6awg phase wires, 24s voltage and max dc spikes up to 140v which sounds promising. If they are as powerful as Tronic says they are they should well exceed 20kw, aka plenty for anyone to have on one corner.

The X12 is like a 250R but 1cm longer, more than twice the power and cheaper. It’s way more power than I’m working with but the price seems worth it for a lot of you guys. It also comes in 30S if anyone wants to have the most hV esk8 ever.

If you are already using the thin nyloc.
Bring it up to the shop and I’ll clearance the cavity for you.

Yeah was more talking about the angles and how they compare between the billet and steel collars.

I’ve got the steel ones on the rear now spread wider than I could get the billet style. Will see how it compares or if it fixes my problem

I fixed it prior to you saying that unfortunately.
But still happy to take it to your shop to give it a once over :+1:t3:

thos aren’t nyloc, much less the thin nyloc.

Correct neither the thin nyloc or the thick but would fit prior. Also that picture was taken right before I put these black oxide thin nylocs on. I’ll take a picture in a little bit to show you.

Let me know when you can bring it up. Be glad to walk through it with you.

Sick & twisted just as the rider :joy:

Wheew glad I snatched these things up.
Gonna be awhile before I can actually go 4wd as it’s gonna require a little reworking of the entire board.
But atleast these are in my pocket now and I can rest easy knowing they retain the same hardware as my current dual little foccer setup.

Lots of work ahead of me in 2025 / goals I haven’t even set yet I’m excited :metal:

I think this is the way to go for the people wishing they got a GTA board. These 7x3” tires to gain slight clearance paired with a drop angled heim to drop it back down should do the same thing as the GTA & bring the v5 back as the king of turning.

I want to try this theory before sharing But I can never keep a damn secret :joy_cat: maybe someone can try it before me.

@MoeStooge would it be possible in the future to make two axles with a drop heim like this?

@MoeStooge Would it help if there were two people wanting them? Asking for, uh, me

Short answer. Would reduce lateral G pushback.
Would not make Lateral G assist

Still sounds to be an improvement to be more competitive
@MoeStooge

Im getting the hint that making a drop hangar isnt something youd be happy to do?
Its no big deal if not

Yes Im unsure at this moment if i forsure i will go 4wd as ive been told otherwise but its very much so possible @HAIRYMANJACK mentioned that i should just go inrunners in the rear and use a d100s in the front with smaller motors for braking power.

He also mentioned keeping the weight down.
But I’m wondering if the extra weight will help it feel more planted…

Which realistically makes sense as they do have that phenomenal punch :fist_right:

Though ive never tried a vesc bord w inrunners

But I may defy everyone’s logic make a 20s8p and go 4wd w little foccers all around
6495s in the rear
6465s in the front.
And be the heaviest raceboard out there😂

my board weighs around 60lbs which isn’t an issue for me cause i don’t even weigh 160. if anything, the extra weight only helps with traction. my first race board was also heavier which i didn’t really notice when riding.
