Its the first rule. Its not really defined, but yeah, a dedicated build thread is required for a valid nom
That sweet Bread of Life baby!
The steampunk ending is badass
Holy shit, thank you so much!
I think I’m gonna go with most DIY, but honestly, just happy to be here.
Cheers!
I had never seen a deck with the hardware in a press before your thread.
Love it.
Prototyping babe! I really should get working on the build thread for the modular mold our new decks are coming out of…you guys are going to love it.
Why not the most diy?
flyboy exists
lol
Who knows but it’s his decision - I think OutRun will win street tho
I have no idea whether to put cyboard in street or DIY
- Most DIY
- Street

You tell me
If I enter into most DIY and win I will give this prize to the second place.
True, those builds are awesome and have a similar level of DIYness.
I think mine was the most unusual though
PS: I’m recusing myself from Jackson’s poll due to a conflict of interest lol
Lowkey I forgot about that one, it is pretty amazing too.
We’ve really got some skilled people
as long as it’s not the offroad category so crab raccoon can win that.
I’ll go with the street category for OutRun. So many great builds here
I don’t think I have the most diy elements. If anything yours is clearly more diy. Never seen anything like the cyboard. You made the whole deck I think if I had made my own ESC or something else too then I’d have a chance. But if you’re not going in that category… can I switch
Believe it or not, this has been done on this here forum
No disrespect intended because it’s a gorgeous build but it looks like he had the help of a pretty amazing welder and a metal fab shop. That’s the only reason I voted for him to go street build.
@jack.luis if you did way more of the metal work than I’m giving you credit for, PLEASE correct me so I can vote accordingly homie.
Don’t forget you’re still one of my faves
My money’s on OutRun.
Seriously, fiber optics inside the deck? That’s next level.
The whole thing was designed in CAD by myself as a giant origami kinda thing. It was all shipped to me pre cut and flat. I had to bring it to a fab to bend everything.
The design process included a lot of back and forth with my welder friend Frank. Mostly questions like “what would make this easier to weld?”
I think flyboy did more of a diy deck than me
Yeah, I used a laser cutter for the initial plywood shapes and did the rest by hand. SS is probably just a harder material to work, though
