200x50 pneumatic tire recommendations

Hi all, im looking to get new tires that will fit my HYPA hubs, 200x50 is the size id like to stay at. I typically ride on the street but from time to time ill ride on gravel or through fields. (70% of the time on street 30% of the time offroad riding) I do not need inner tubes, just tires

Popular 200x50 street option is Kendas. Not the softest but it has plenty of treads. Softest 200x50 street tire I know is CST. Otherwise MBS has some off road tire options.

NOVAs are the 200mm GOAT right now, they’re worth it. more grip and lasts longer then Kendas. Unless you’re a track rider, you’ll never have to get new ones.

However, I love my Kendas too. So much fun to slide on, and they make a terribly awesome screeching sound when they do

Will the 7" version

fit the Hoyt Hubs?

No, unfortunately. The Hoyt hubs are smaller then the “standard” esk8 hub size.

It’s not too much more to just get the tire+wheel combo.

Thanks.

Where can one purchase novas without going through MBOARDS? I have a pretty big gripe with them. Owner is a genuine cunt/douchebag and extremely combative when you have a complaint

Another option is the 8” tire from Linnpower. It will require the use of a wide rim. Linnpower sells those too. They currently have a 15% sale. Unfortunately I can’t tell you how they ride. I am going to order a set for myself.

These are what I have on my Flux now and they are so good…

I won’t be touching the pile of Kendas I have on the shelf…

Yeah, they’re the only seller for NOVAs cause they’re the one that made them.

Ummm?..

I’ll just leave this here :rofl::sweat_smile:
I know they’re 7" but :person_shrugging:
