How much wider? would sanding it be a bad idea due to lack of mounting space or is it not that big of a deal?

It is a little wide. Like it could work. But it is a little wide for the deck

@Sender what exactly would you do to this deck to strengthen it? And how long will that take/how much will that cost. Interested in this. also is there even enough overhang on that enclosure for a bolt? Lol looks very close 
I would line the cutout in FG and then sin the entire bottom in CF.
The enclosure is a tad wide for the deck.

I see… would I be able to realistically put in some inserts and bolt through the enclosure? I can deal with the tad wide bit, if I can still bolt the thing down lol

It can still take inserts fine, it will just be a tad over the edge.

Is there no way to sand it down a little? Should help make it less noticeable.

I still had enough of the lip, then again mine seemed to have a lot of extra material.
