12mm (NOT .506" , NOT 12.2mm, NOT 1/2") aluminum spacers

Please show me where I can buy this in the USA. I really don’t think I should have to pay $1.26 each for these from Trampa.

If you have a 3d printer and wanna make some money I don’t mind using 3d printed spacers. I have the files ready.

Do you want them the same length that Trampa sells them at? Have you ever used 3d printed ones?

I’m going to have to try that. I’ve been wondering where I can get the same size diameter precision shims? I’d like to put them in-between my spacers.

I occasionally have a clicking noise coming from my front wheels, and it boils down to how tight I have them, and which combination of spacers, 3d printed shims, and rubber rings I have or don’t have. I never expected it to be so hard to make everything perfectly silent.

FFS… 0.2mm is .007874in… Less than 8mil. That IS the proper size for a slip-fit spacer. If you indeed managed to find 12.0mm ID spacers, you’d be installing and removing them with heat, a slide hammer, or both. I ordered the 12.2mm ID spacers from Aluminumspacers.com last summer, have put more than 1k miles on the set without issue on Matrix II trucks.

Trampa axles are slightly less than 12mm…

I’ve tried many spacers and washers listed as 12mm ID and now I have trust issues

I ordered 22.2 length, 12.2mm ID (??? OD… who cares, so long as it’s not rubbing on the bearing seals) for MBS rockstar/fivestar. You think $1.26 is bad, try $25 for 4 of 'em from Lacroix. They were something like $12 for the set from aluminumspacers.com Trampa use different spacing between bearings? If so, you’ll need a different length… Or, just PAY TRAMPA $1.26 each… cheaper than any other option.

How about everyone just use XXmm and follow the sliding tolerance standards the entire engineering world uses. No need to add a whole 0.2mm for sliding tolerance

What’s slightly less than 12mm? 7/16in. I think MBS uses 7/16 thread (5/8 ~ 16mm wrench) nuts, and the OD of the threads is definitely less than 12mm. My rear hubs are pushed out as far as they go, meaning that the outer bearing is riding on said threads, not the smooth M12 shaft, so my rear wheels are a tad loose. You’re not going to solve this problem with tighter-fitting spacers. The only remedies would be longer axles (where the proper M12 shaft supports the outer bearing,) or using a larger ID bearing (15mm) and a custom-made nut that’s M15 OD (save wrench flats) engages the inner race of the outer bearing.

This is trust thing for me. Too many spacers in my shop that were supposed to fit my axles. So this is my over the top solution to disambiguate this whole shit show. I fully accept that you are probably right about the 0.2mm not being an issue but at this point I dont trust it because there’s conflicting info out there.

If you show me a photo of how close the fit is I will shut up and admit I am wrong.

I can confirm the “12 mm diameter” work great on matrix 2 axles. 12.2mm is a great fit as @emaxon is saying.

Trampas spacer is in the pic above. But I do think 12.2 will be fine and that I overreacted

yea i know what u mean, but r they really 12mm ID if 12mm is practically rare as unicorn…
