10s2p Sanyo NCR 18650GA with dual 6354 motors?

As title says, I’m thinking of building a setup with dual Flipsky 6354 motors and a 10s2p Sanyo NCR 18650GA. Since these cells are only 10A, I’m afraid to have some sag with them.

This build is not meant for crazy performance, it’s for a cruiser style commuter and should be able to climb slight hills.

Should I do it? Or since it’s only a 2p I should ditch the idea? Unfortunately I don’t have enough room for 3p battery.

you could go with 21700 cells - samsung 40T in 2p configuration, it will deliver enough power but range won’t be so great, but still better than with sanyo.

If I could I would do so, but Nkon isn’t shipping to my location any longer so I’m left with other alternatives.

Yep, what about them?

oh yeah, new no shipping to USA policy from nkon…

you can not get them from anywhere local? vape shop or something reputable? I would buy them even if I have to pay few bucks more, you need only 20 cells, but long term it will be much better choice than sanyo.

I’m not from the U.S but nkon stopped shipping to where I live as well, that sucks.

If you knew what are the prices for 18650 cells in local stores around me (okay, just because you asked so nicely I’ll let you know… a Samsung 30Q cell costs $18.00!) you would have understand why I prefer other sources.

So you think a Sanyo battery is a no-no?

whaat? where do you live dude? on another planet? there has to be online shop with normal prices which is willing to deliver to your place. if nothing else, try to find someone on aliexpress/alibaba, they will ship everywhere.

no, I would not use sanyo in 2p. setting 10A battery max on each vesc will look slow and you will feel voltage sag definitively. on the other hand, chinese hub motors used 20a discharge battery on their esc for months and customers were somewhat happy with it. but if you really want to use full potential of your vesc and you really want to ride without power drop after few km, go with cells with higher discharge.

I wish I lived on another planet, I bet prices will be much cheaper there  I live in Israel.
I tried Aliexpress once, but a) they are probably not genuine b) I tried only once and shipment
got canceled by the carrier company, so I didn’t try again. I assume there are some restrictions
to ship batteries to here.

I see, definitely don’t want to experience any of that scenarios.
So the other option is a 10s2p Sony VTC5 35A cells. What are your thoughts about it?

you should opet battery shop in Israel, you can’t be only one that needs batteries

VTC5 seems like better choice than sanyo

Haha, maybe one day

Just found out that Bangood can ship to my location Samsung 30Q. Does anyone know if they are genuine?

It’s highly likely that you will receive a few dodgy cells. If the price is ok I’d overorder and then check them all when they arrive. No harm having spares.

If it’s your only choice then that’s what you do right?

Have you considered buying decent power tool batteries or laptop batteries and breaking them down?

I’m talking with a live chat representative from Bangood and he says that these cells are genuine
and to no worry about it. The price looks reasonable, about $7.00 per cell.

I have two options; Order these Samsung 30Q, or to purchase the Sony VTC5 which are genuine. I’m also waiting for a reply from a seller in the UK, and maybe from Metroboard.

Breaking down tools/laptops isn’t ideal as I won’t have the identical cells from each one.

Those are the exact words a fake cell seller would use.

I don’t know if his cells are fake. But, I’m just pointing that out.

You’re probably right, but I think that Bangood is different from Aliexpress, which have tons of fakes.
Bangood are the only ones who sells the cells in their site, unlike Aliexpress which have many sellers, that way it’s more hard to control what is being sold in their site.

I ordered few Samsung 30Q from Gearbest at the past and they are totally fine up until today.
Really hope that it will be the same case here.

Banggood resell don’t they? I don’t think they hold stock
