Got my avio remote. Synced it . calibrated amd tested all good… Re assembled the enclosure. About 2 hours later tried to power it on to tweak motor discharge . nothing. So I took it back apart. Jumped the switch and used my loop key. My receiver blinks but unity is a gonner.
Wth. That’s weird. I have had where my unity settings get wiped out but all I have to do is reconfigure everything again and off I go!
Damn. That blows
Dang it guys I just wanna buy a unity and metr lmao I kid I kid…
fuck that reminds me I gotta write down all my settings… they’re too perfect now
Lmao. It’s easy.
Motor amps 65
Battery max 55
Motor -45
Battery -8
Dead band input 6%
Positive ramp up time .10 sec
That’s all you need to know lol
Dash… psssst…
that’s easy for you… I have 3 boards with those orange boxes, all running wildly different set-ups… but I digress
Thanks Jc, I just sent @torqueboardsa message!
As kook brought up, does anyone know of any other esc’s/vesc that they would trust with running 13s? @CiscoV @kook @yelnats8j
Focboxes will be the way to go brother.
They are proven to work good with 13s. And supposedly unity does good too.
Do you happen to know if when I write settings through metr with two Vesc’s it writes to both? @rpasichnyk
You have to write one vesc at the time.
Vesc 1 and vesc 2
Whatever change you make to one you do the same to the other one
Alright, but only need to use one metr for the two of them right?
That’s correct. Learned all of this shit from my boy @Tello1969. Sickass builder and now racer
I’ve heard rumors that the latest Vedder tool writes to both VESCs thru canbus… but I have no personal experience in that regard, last time I set up a VESC I had to write to each Vesc separately…
Was that with metr or trampa vesc dong?
Da Dong!
The new VESC-Tool is super convenient to use and is prepared to work seamless with upcoming hardware releases. Everything is fully automated and in consequence the complete setup is now nailed with 3 to 5 clicks only. Setting up a dual or quad drive takes just as long as setting up a single VESC.
These are some of the new features you will benefit from:
- Auto motor detection including sensor detection for all VESCs simultaneously.
- Motor detection in FOC open loop
- automatic and accurate settings for motor (can still be manipulated manually).
- FW updates to all VESCs in one hit
- VESC Rescue via SWD PROG (use a VESC to flash another bricked VESC)
- Configuration of all VESCs in one hit
- Profiles (top speed, current limits, power limits, brake etc.)
- Profiles changeable while actually riding the board (you can’t feel the switching)
- permanent and non permanent profiles
- profiles are written to all VESCs simultaneously and instantly
- Smooth low speed braking capabilities (braking close to stand still)
- Analogue cockpit (speed, power, rpm, duty cycle, current, battery)
- Statistics and estimated range (really accurate now)
- Data from all VESCs is now used to calculate the values
- Board can be given a name
- Communication between remote, phone/tablet and VESCs simultaneously (triangular communication).
- pairing of remote and phone/tablet to VESCs (stops others to interact with your VESC/board).
- new remote features to allow display of values on remote
- The new VESC-Tool is fully prepared to work with the upcoming hardware releases
- The new VESC-Tool will be fully compatible with older hardware like 4.xx
- Support for UAV-CAN (e.g. for multicopters and robots)
- and many more…
Dongle!!. That shit sounds so wrong
if you have (2) esc connected via CANBUS and METR connected to the Master ESC you should be able to write configs to both ESC through MetrPro App. when i do this the app says (very quickly, dont quote me on the order)
Reading Motor Configuration 1
Reading APP Configuration 1
Writing Motor Configuration 1
Writing APP Configuration 1
Reading Motor Configuration 2
Reading APP Configuration 2
Writing Motor Configuration 2
Writing APP Configuration 2
when successful you should see a checkmark next to the mode you have applied
this happend to me too. just left it over night then would not turn on. I sent it over to @ seaboader and it was actually just bricked. try getting it to someone to fix, seaboarder said it was really easy to do.
