Wired throttle for things like mario carts and chopper ebikes

Its stuck at 2.8v ~ throttle should be new. Wondering if its a problem when i tried 5v.

Is RT APP turned on?

Yes

Usually applying 5V briefly to the ADC inputs won’t break anything, though that can’t be guaranteed and is out of specification. The ADC inputs are rated for 3.3V max.

Could it be a vesc tool version problem?

In the bottom right status bar, are you connected to the ESC?

Ofc

IDK but probably not. I would not use version 6 or any beta software.

Check the ADC pin with a multimeter and verify there is a voltage present other than 2.8V

Good idea. Thanks.

So its reading about 1.8 with no throttle plugged in. Idk mighta busted something

That’s normal if it’s floating.

Not sure about your throttle or if you need to add a pullup or pulldown resistor.

Disconnect the ADC inputs and see if the throttle itself is working with a multimeter.

Connect the 3.3V pin to ADC and see if it registers in the software. Connect ground to ADC and see if it goes to zero. Obviously not at the same time.

Thanks. Ill report back. Much apprecited.

Just wanted to thank you for your help. I must have burned the hall effect sensor in the throttle when fucking around. Happy holidays!
