I don’t know about this, if it worked reliably for lots of people until now, I honestly don’t see why it be crazy to use it.

Things like traction control, sensor input filtering, more efficient / smoother FOC, more accurate positioning, more power at high duty cycle, not to mention all the bugs that have been fixed that were present in that version.

I don’t quite agree with that, either. Worked well for me despite lack of extras. Still have it on deck for troublesome setups.

Yeah, as long as you aren’t using new and unsupported accessories then Ackmaniac would still work just fine and be preferred actually if you want a known (mostly?) bug-free setup or maybe a production vehicle.
