Jehu Garcia (the powerwall builder) is presently selling cases of 100 wrapped vtc6 cells for 350$ (3.5 a piece)
He is offering to USA only.

Yeah if you already have the capability to assemble from raw cells by welding or otherwise, an extra 100 cells at a good price definitely could go to use.
It only takes a heat gun to wrap cells.

Just got the price from Queen, unfortunately they don’t ship here (Brazil) unless the order is heavier than 100kg, that makes no sense for me but ok, I’m not gonna order 2000+ cells

It’s the time wasted on heatshrinking that bugs me

The G4X doesn’t use that much power. Range will be around 50 to 100 km. And trust me, the Black Forest is hilly. Like 600m in height difference.
They minimum order is 200 pieces, so I would guess its for this amount

Just ordered 30Q cells for $3.74 ea. $14 shipping for 45 cells (UPS ground to Oregon).

Yes that is the plan.
There is “a lot air” inside.
Between the two Kelly motor controller I will add a similar box for that relay.
The pack will be like this
L = (n +½)D
W = [0.866(p-1)+1] D
D = 21.25mm
p = 5
In the first step I have to take both packs out and use the Junsi iCharger 4010 Duo to charge them
I will keep the existing mainboard, but will do a new wire harness.
