Believe me that even though the price may not seem cheap, after we pay the VAT, Shopify fee, and factor in the manufacturing cost, then what we’re left with makes this whole thing feel like a charity business. … which is fine since we enjoy working on our esk8 projects. But really there’s not much room for discounts.
Is there any old Metr stock that’s discounted now?
You missed it by several months. Last stock sale was in April.
Purchased!
@Monstra Lmk where/how you end up sourcing your m9, I’m also interested.
Nothing is ever cheap enough
Having it work with race chrono is very intriguing. Thinking of getting one for my raceboard even tho it already has metr pro solo
same
How is the shipping to the states? I’m finding 90 bucks a bit too hard to swallow
It was 401kr
I’m just gonna stick to my GoPro GPS until there’s other options.
How does the Minnie compares to Metr Pro CAN in terms of connection. Not like I ever had any problems with Metr but just curious.
Guys a swedish krona is worth nothing these days, automatic discount lol…
For once there’s something e-skate related that ships from where I live for once. Whenever I decide to get one that’ll help.
The thing to consider is the standard of living of the country you live in. Salaries in Sweden, Germany or Switzerland for example are like 2-4 times the average salary in my country.
For me the module would cost 134 € whit shipping, which is an amount of money I’m just not comfortable to pay like its nothing. It’s the price of another set of wheels or a new complete skateboard (non E-kind)
It is a fucking expensive hobby
I don’t doubt the quality and functionality of the product. But It gets me thinking, do I really need this. I have fun riding my board regardless of knowing how fast I’m going and how much amps I’m pulling ect. It would be nice to know how many kilometers I’ve put on the board and to be able to change vesc setting on the go. But those are just quality of live improvement, not really necessities.
You could say the same about a skateboard or a eskate, or anything except water and food and maybe your house/apartment.
Once you get yourself your own Minnie, you’ll realise she’s actually a necessity.
So now I have to decide on the BMS…
Ennoid maybe?
Since Minnie still has bluetooth I assume it can still connect to LLT BMSes and read data just like Metr could
If you can afford Ennoid, go for it, it’s a great product. LLT BMS works too! (Metr app connects to it directly over BLE, not Minnie). And @janpom is working on adding Daly BMS CAN support (there options with Daly, make sure you get one with CAN support).
Ennoid is definitely a good option if you can afford it. For up to 12S, FlexiBMS is very good as well and more affordable, especially if you are in EU.
I’m also close to getting the Daly BMS support finished.
Is this the one we are talking about?
How much is it?
