VESC-Tool 2.0 and Firmware 4.0 - The beginning of a new era - (SERIOUS)

I’ve also noticed my range on Trampa 4.1 is a bit less than on Ack 3.103

The ERPM limits are there, either via profiles or by setting a ERPM limit as usual. Profiles is the way forward.

I know they’re there. They don’t work very well at all.

For me they work to a precision of 1Km/h.

(Saved for @mmaner . :joy:)

I’ll note the precision of the erpm limit cut-in as I’m Supermanning off the side of the board. Good to know the flight off the board always begins at precisely the correct speed.

That’s a nice bug report and I remember experiencing similar issue with dual VESC setup. Running manual detection and connecting to each VESC worked, but as soon as I tried Wizard, I got ‘old firmware error’. Looks like this bug is still there :frowning:

if only the folks in the community could backport the hfi feature to ack 3.103… hmm…

After fighting with my thoughts about openning the enclosure to try to fix wobbles via USB, it did work…Board it is fast as hell, straight as a rocket…But it is a must to mention that the phone app did not fix the issue, and it is my thoght that the problem it is the canbus somehow, so, I believe the solution it is to diconnect the canbus and do them individualy (I mean fisically disconect it)…If someone only have the phone app, just disconect the canbus wire, and move the bluetooth dongle to set each one at a time…then, conect everything and go riding…Also, each time for each motor, close the app and open it again…Motor detection manually with T= 1000uS and hall detection too, to each of one. Hope this help to anyone with the same issue…

The new FW is finished and will probably be published tomorrow.

Anyone knows how to setup hfi on both motors (at once)? can only seem to get one motor working…

thought it was just me/my esc
Thought I accidentally bricked the canbus somehow and was ready to solder on split ppm.

A re-flash of the firmware fixed that right up though

for what’s it’s worth, i can’t setup anything on multiple esc’s simultaneously. i connect to each one and apply the settings without using any wizards, like it’s 1995. have not tried hfi though

For me, the multi detection works maybe 60% of the time
Sometimes it bugs out sayin other vesc has old firmware, other times it just works. :man_shrugging:

For a year now the stock vesc tool tells me that one of the vescs has an older firmware if i activate can. Even though i updated both vescs minutes before.

Well that sucks… how do you configure them seperately though? I didnt see any option for this.

i plug my computer into each ESC to configure them separately

Best way to do it, least amount of fuckery to happen in the background.

I did that via usb to another board, thats was the only way to get both motors running sensorless (broken sensors), and HFI it is amazing by the way…
