💪 TORQUE ESC V6.64 - High Mileage Immediate Testers

I will probably switch to sensorless when I try out AWD soon, move all the ESCs into the top box.

Just need my DAMN HOBBYKING ORDERR

You try another motor in-case it might be that motor specifically? Most people using it currently are all using sensors on FOC Sensored.

It was happening on both ESCs at the exact same time, so unless one VESC getting a motor overtemp fault makes all CAN connected VESCs enter fault state then I don’t think it is the motor’s fault.
^actually it totally makes sense that this is how it works

I am not getting errors anymore now that I changed the beta value I think,
although I am stupid and unplugged before checking this last ride :man_facepalming:

Mounting holes…

Looking for heat sink top mounts for these vesc

105 miles or so on these so far. I’ve been trying to punish them and they’re dealing with it. Getting some throttling on long hills but recovers pretty fast. Motors and enclosure are hot, so hard to say for sure. Logs by the end of the week and then I’ll really push them.

Great feedback so far. Doubt Bergmeister’s would overheat them.

@abusfullofnuns What setup are you running?

Got about 80 miles on the new TB units
6380 170kv
1:4.2 ratio
90A batt
100A motors
8" tires
So far great! Ordered a heatsink on amazon and will see if I can rig it up next week. Hitting thermal soft cutout after 12ish miles, but also pushing it pretty hard up and down hills, no metr currently, hopefully soon tho.

I have no idea how many miles but coming in on 100 most likely, METR on the way…

Running them super hard honestly every time I hit the throttle I shake my head and ask if Dexter is trying to kill me.

6374 190KV dual (will test AWD with double batteries)

What motors are you running?

Sealed Maytech from haggy(don’t tell dex) I was saving up for dual 6380 but now I’m waiting for 63100 190KV aparenty

They get fairly hot but I need a more stable setup and more hills and I before they could overheat.

Just made a quick lap after adding the heat sinks. They are still too tall for my single stack enclosure. It took heat on the enclosure and removing the screws in the rear. Big difference from what I can tell. Had to make it quick but best ride yet. Resting temp is 6C lower.

Had some funny variance between esc readings but fastest I’ve ever been, highest amp pulled, and lowest max temp I’ve seen.

What heatsink you using ? I’m looking for heat sink for my TB vesc6

Will these work with the TBV6? https://shop.3dservisas.eu/collections/cases/products/vesc-6-heatsink-plate?variant=35119880831129

Just for the record. Still heating up. Takes a little longer but still thermal throttling on hills. Usually the second one. Lol. Just using some cheap aluminum finned heatsink. External would probably help.

Based on dimensions for Trampa heatsink, it doesn’t look like 3DServisas one will fit TB V6.

I have the 3D servisas heatsink ESC box, it has drill holes for the VESC 6… I just used two bolts as opposed to 4 with some neoprene foam to compress the other side to the heatsink since the TBV6 are a bit too long… Works well. I’d say they are 1/2 compatible :sunglasses: or compatible enough to be workable, but no, not for all four bolts just one side.
