Fuuuuu! Had you posted wanting more testers have beta units like 24 hours earlier I could’ve been in for 2x on an MTB, but now I’ve bought a…Unity.

Will have a small run in about 30-40 days. I think. I’ll post with more info on when I have a better idea.

At $100 a pop? If so, I’m interested.

PIck me Dex! Im Down! I have 3-4 builds I can test them on and ride 20-30 miles a day 6-7 days a week. Gharly hills around me and I weigh 200 lbs. Just ask the direct drives Ive had to shoot back to you about it… Plus I just had a unity die and could use another 2 for a build lacking right now… @torqueboards

Not to add fuel to the hype flames…

But I’ve been running 2x pairs of TB6 (last two beta revisions) in my eMTB (graphene 12S lipo, 6380s, geardrive, 8" pneumatics, Haero) + my Humperdoo/Hummie build. 95/60 motor/battery per channel on my eMTB and 85/50 on Humperdoo.

These things are punchy as fuck, power delivery is great. Super smooth acceleration even all out. All around a solid direct FET VESC6 implementation.

Awesome! I’ll be running 12S2P Graphene 10Ah LiPo’s from my backpack. Good to hear they’ve got punch! :fist_right:t2: :fist_left:t2: Mine is 65C discharge though.

For mine: 15C @ 8Ah is still 120amps continuous, which is more power than I’ve really been able to utilize so far. 6000w total system is a LOT of power, so far I seem to max out around 3500ish or so because of load. We need a tow-trailer setup to push this testing further. Ha.

I’m just saying what I have, with my motors it puts me over 8000W.

What your motors are rated for is not the same as what real world load conditions require.

Curious how you measured yours? Metr?

Also, I get that load conditions change.

Not sure if you’re making a list, but I’m definitely interested in testing these in both my builds.

Got any more info on your nifty reverse hood scoop top box ESC setup? And do you have any idea if that inside ESC mount plate would fit ESCapes? The top box esc mount is one of the projects on my list and your ideas intrigue me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

Sure thing! It’s just something I whipped up quickly, so this is only first revision. I used those Haggy sensor cables so I could panel mount the ESC side.

It’s 3 pieces total as I printed 2x of the baseplate (one for the underside, one for the top). You can use the baseplate as a guide to drill holes through the topbox lid too.

Used M3x8mm bolts through the bottom base plate, box-lid, top base plate, and into 8mm aluminum M3 standoffs. Those standoffs then serve as the mounting points for the hood.

Here’s my Fusion model, download is enabled. I’ll dig up some more pics later too, let me know if you have further questions.

I fly race quads and the batteries I run are GnB 6s 1100 mAh 130c rated but I can tell you right now that C rating is mostly just guess work by the manufacturers and means nothing tbh. Not to mention, even if your batteries could supply “8000 watts” it doesn’t mean that your motors and speed controllers can, and and that’s before factoring inefficiency losses.
Oh also the idea of lipos pushing that many amps in a backpack via a tether to your board is terrifying. Good luck with that :crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:
