Yeah, 28AWG is fine. You could also repurpose an old Ethernet cable if you don’t want to buy fresh. Strip housing off & use wire braid for flex.

Ha - I was just thinking about that this morning actually. I’m going to need to extend some sensor wires in an upcoming build and was trying to think of existing multi wire cables out there and I thought of an ethernet cable.

If you want to give yourself a bit more room, ive got a file for a 3d printable topcover for the SKP solo with integrated phase wire channels. Reduces the required height by a couple mm.

I’m pretty happy with my box yeah i’m not so happy with my composite skills…
After I laid down the white, i checked my stock of the special rail tape i wanted to use as my ‘throwback’ feature… i was surprised to learn that I had enough to do the full length of the deck, I was just planning on doing the ends…
So I did the whole lot! And it’s totally not straight but it all gets covered up anyway so it’s not a biggie, still kinda annoying tho.
The layup on the top ended up being different from the bottom, I did the basalt twill first, 300gsm, then the carbon/fibreglass railtape that is probably about 200gsm, and then a 200gsm glass cloth over the top.
Keen to trim it up tomorrow!
Oh! And who remembers the throwback build!?
