This is probably something I don’t know/understand about the casting process but that pic looks like the end that goes around the axle has a gap now rather than being enclosed?

This was a hogging process using the largest tool to cut the bulk out. The next operation is to clean out the web material and circle the kingpin post detail with a smaller diameter tool.

A lot of their gear is FRP and for their focus (LDP), it performs well. We have been their exclusive bushing supplier for over a decade.

It will work out.
The axle provides the strength for the hanger.
As its grade 8, that’s all the strength you’ll ever need for this axle width.
There’s no focused concentration of stresses like you’ll have on a bushing seat. You’re applying forces to the bushings over a larger area, which plastic can deal with easy.
I’ve been making trucks with plastic hangers for about 18 years, it all comes down the the axle strength, and distributing forces over larger areas.

I was worried about center slop from no pretension on that bushing.
but for LDP yeah that’s probably not a problem.
Singularity update, @Titoxd1000 was a real lifesaver as he stepped up to make the Singularity FatCone and Chubby molds for us. The Barrel mold we made in house was a bit much for our CNC chip management system. Production quantities are now possible and we are building out KranK 90, 93 and 96a stock as we speak. Stoked to finally get this rolling.
