Not my best work, but was my first time attempting this.
Used a regular solder iron, no hot air or oven.
Micro SD card for scale, pins on ic are 0.5mm pitch.

This is hard as crap to do without accidentally bridging the pads.

Nicely done!

Managed to put down this ridiculously small optical color sensor. tweezer tips for size comparison, and the components are 0603’s.

I haven’t tested it yet though.

Excellent, it’s exactly what I was planning on with Dreamonseed, those tabs haven’t been welded to the pack yet.

If you’re going to just open the door like this, well if it makes me laugh and I’m not breaking the rules, that’s enough.

Can’t move my arms!!

And since I just restored gas service to my home and shocked I have no leaks

Haven’t soldered pipe in like five years pretty happy with myself

This MR60 was soldered to a 62$ ebay Lingyi, and then the whole board submerged unintentionally, in the bay.

Smokey bubbles were escaping enclosure for several minutes before I fished it out.

It was hissing, which stopped when I pulled the loopkey.

For grins, Today, 3 months later, I tried to reflow the solder, after wiping it with IPA.

The blue and yellow wires fought, but ultimately complied.

The green wire absolutely refused to go molten again.

Had the ts101 set to 400c, and it was pulling close to 57watts for 10 seconds and a molten sokder ball on tip refused to meld.

I did not notice, when I originally soldered this, there was a little gap on the green wire’s joint.

Unacceptable!

Hangs head in shame…

Mor flux for the flux gods! All praise rosin, may thine iron be hot, thine joints flow and be’st thou of low resistance all thine connectors made. All praise!
