can recommend the ruroc atlas, Its a proper motorcycle helmet but on the light side weight wise. Its full face tho. I went head on into a car at 45km/h once(other drivers fault). I’m still pretty happy I had full face helmet. Broke my jaw still.

I call this skewer in the ham, a very unpleasant couple of weeks. Dog jumped out of some bushes and wasn’t wearing knee protection… never again.

Ouch…damn. Hoping it heals quick!
Is that the pattern of denim in your skin? Or is that from the gauze/pad?

Thanks guys.

No, that’s the iodine gauze leaving its mark, just earlier I found out if you leave it on too long it sticks to the skin.
AvocadNOOOOOO, precisely.
On Sunday I crashed with my Lacross (emtb Lacroix) and yesterday I crashed with my Onewheel.
I was too fast, the battery was too empty, I was tired, going uphill and distracted by looking out for cops; thus I nosedived (nosedove?), managed two steps, the right ankle hit the ground first, then the thigh, shoulder, helmet (feet in the air) and I landed on my back.
The right arm was shaking, I’m missing a whole lot of skin and sleeping is a nightmare,
I think I’ll skip riding for a while.

Slap a fish on there and you should be good

I like a little lemon with my white fish but maybe skip it this time

Get some hydrocolloid dressings. I’ve roadrashed every part of my body it feels like, and after too much pain I discovered those. It makes recovery sooo much better and faster. Cannot recommend them enough

I love fish but not on my wounds, especially when there’s lemon involved!
It’s a great thing to do though, especially the use of honey for disinfection!

I’m not sure how these would be called here in Germany but I got some Betaisodona and non stick bandages, also it’s short pants time so I should be fine in a week or two.
Thanks guys

Edit: I just found out I have some of these hydrocolloid things but they are nowhere near as big enough for that wound unfortunately

My neighbor works for Cintas (huge workplace provider) and gifted me one of the metal medical first aid cabinets you would find on a wall in a shop after I mentioned how neat it was that he had one in his garage. It was stuffed full of every common first aid device and had tons of hydrocolloidal bandages, spray ointments, single use packet ointments, etc. It was super thoughtful as he knows how much I skate. The most interesting bit of the kit are these tablets that are NSAIDs with a kick of caffeine to keep the adrenaline pumping long enough to get patched up without feeling it. Good neighbors are great.

That’s a solid dude! Those are expensive too. Got to appreciate those people in your life

Caffeine helps with pain management in general IIRC. That’s why you can get tylenol with caffeine, which is great stuff too

Add topical lidocaine and quick clot blood stopper to make it perfect. Don’t ask how I know, also super glue

haha this happened yesterday to me. Except it was a cat. I was distracted by the person walking 15 little dogs. They really wait till the last second then dart out.
