Was running my board like this for a while before i bothered to get a box for the batteries :upside_down_face:

One of the solder joints that was part of my first build. I promptly repaired it and all the other joints the first time I gave the board a once-over maintenance check, which so happened to be after my crash 3 months ago. So I basically rode around like this for a year.

Yes, battery was taped up and sits in a glass fibre protection casing which also includes the BMS, switch and a battery meter.

They only had 1 tire in the back of the trailer so it was probably ok. Curvature of the tire leans with board.

How are you running the Tan Tien now?

This is what it looks like at the moment.
I added a second 6374 and made some kydex enclosures. The power is a bit overkill for a first board but it’s pretty fun to ride, the flex of the deck is spot on for me but the wheelbase feels a bit short so might swap it for something else in the future.

Nice! The flex is no issue? Is it a flex 2?

Yep, flex 2 and around 80kg rider. I tried the boosted stealth (vanguard flex 3) this summer but the Tan Tien is a bit stiffer.
I can bottom out the enclosure if I jump on the board but normal carving/cruising is just fine.
