Nice! 17” is just perfect. spread too far apart and it quickly gets tiring! And oh thanks for correcting that term - learnt something new today

How are the brakes?

On low speeds like 1~2km/h, it’s relatively weak. But on moderate speeds it has pretty decent brakes. Here’s my VESC numbers, i’m using a unity btw.

Motor max : 80A
Motor brake : -100A
Battery current : 30A
Battery regen : -15A

I’m dumb and can’t read, disregard

Looks like I’ve got some work to do with the super glue. Also, happy I got replacement sleeves with my order. This is after about 56 miles of riding on the 85mm sleeves:
Disclaimer I did ride over a particularly bad stretch of road that had a ton of chunky gravel on the shoulder. Have been routinely pushing these motors over 80°C and giving them a ton of carve action.

That lasted longer lmao. At least loaded sleeves fit.

I’m gonna order a set for comparisons sake

Just ordered a set of Otang sleeves. Will run them over the same exact terrain. Will also report differences in ride feel

That looks terrible, 75KV is too high of a KV for Hubs.
60KV is the sweet spot it seems. Bigger sleeves will make the Hubs run hotter. And you even don’t know what the temps are doing to the bearings and Epoxy.
That’s sad I really want a good set of Hubs and was eyeballing these…
Hummies for the win.

But like you could also buy several of these for the cost of Hummie, what did you expect

Hopefully a better picture will be painted as more people receive their orders and these undergo additional testing. I’m curious to hear what @Linny‘s experience is. I’m just one example. In the meantime, I’ll probably back off on the Amps as it’s gotten pretty warm out

and if you ready to pay 650$ one year upfront :frowning:

what motor current values have you been running since you put the build together?

The generic Chinese Hubs are fairing quite well for 70$ a shot. Those are 60KV and temps are under control even at 80 motor amps.
I haven’t heard of a single failure of Hummies though and spent already more then 650$ on shitty Hubs on my quest for a stealthy setup.

@KfromtheBay What settings are you use. Please don’t use more than 40A for motor!. Swap PU to 90mm and I send you replacement white sleeve. I think 77A is too soft for your road and motor getting too hot.

Please change motor current to 40A.
