I’ll keep it straight with you. I think we all do that once in a while. But the most traffic they’ve had over there has been us going over to diss him.
As much as he likes to pretend he’s separated himself from it, he took the creation of this forum very personally. And my belief as to why he dislikes us (aside from the obvious competition) is that we’re not brand/advertiser friendly.
I think we’re going to see some changes to .builders due to ownership, and suddenly family-friendlyness will be much more important instead of innovation and esk8.
beautifully said, time will tell ay
I am here. I recently posted what I am working on. As you know my projects take forever so need to get somewhere before post it more…
I hope to come back stronger than ever

Oh yeah, silly me. How could I forget the herringbones
Glad you’re still here. Looking forward to see what crazy thing you put out next.
Still here! I understand the worry, after the boom unfrotunately DIY Esk8 is getting even more for a niche only More and more are moving to prebuilt boards or escooter/ebike. At least that is the feel I have.
And there it is.
I think you’re right. It’s still quite cost prohibitive, so really only us who were dropped on our head as children and those of us with balls the size of Oklahoma stay for DIY. But it’s been that way for a looonngg time.
If anything, im just more concerned about our members and their health during this time. Dont know who’s getting affected by what
The answer is everyone unfrotunately. Soon or later.
Could have been worse, definitely
Build thread on this little thing? Looks super clean compared To the others I’ve seen…
I wonder if there’s a little fuse in-between the battery port and the display
Seems like the perfect spot / enough room
Yeah, that shit is tight. Fucking Maner.
I’ve been wanting to make one for awhile, but I wanted something aesthetically pleasing because why not lmao…
Much tidier than mine. The meter I got was super thick. The panel mount is a nice touch. Hope it’s on thingiverse.
Its the second version I’ve done. Honestly, I am not completely happy with it. I like the form factor but the voltmeter is not great as the switch is in the back, so no easy method of changing the series value or changing from capacity to voltage.
I’m still working on it to see if I can integrate a button into the model, but its gonna be difficult considering the vast range of voltmeters out there.
If your interested, I used this voltmeter…

And here is the model…
Thanks Mike! I’ll print one up once I get my printer tuned for petg
Do you think it would be possible to use this one just without a 3D printed case?

No worries, happy to help. I have some new voltmeters coming from china that may be a better solution, have to wait and see.
I dont see any reason why not. I dont have one, but it appears to be usable.
I’ll order one for science then
