I was trying out if I wanted to potentially mount it there. Might buy a hero 5 black off a coworker soon for this purpose. I have my hero 6 black on my helmet currently.

3ds 270s, tiller mid, on black Surfrodz base for the split angle.

I wasn’t sure what brand the clamps were after Bobby and I traded some parts. I like them, beefy with room to modify and break at least two taps in one of them. :grimacing::face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Clean :+1:.

If you do mount it, don’t do anything short of mechanically mating the mount to the truck or board. Double sided tape will fail you eventually.

3M VHB double sided adhesive cured under pressure for 24 hours. I once ripped a layer of plywood off trying to pry a mount off with it.

I guess prep is everything.

Yup. Run over the surface multiple times with degreaser, brake cleaner, then alcohol. I have things stuck to the bottom of my boards with VHB just hanging there and they ain’t going nowhere. Takes up to 3 days to achieve full strength though. Really easy to peel first day.

Assuming you’re comparing remotes to decide on which to ship to customers, here are my thoughts about the APS remote (which I still plan to use as my daily driver unless it fails once more)

mate it had been 16 days or so since any activity on what in reality should be the busiest thread.

I got banned for that and for good reason. It was childish, fun but childish.

You are still my hero. The thread remains locked btw

for a fucking bullet-proof VHB bond… hit it with a heat-gun to get it really good and gooey and then clamp it!.. I’ve actually ripped a layer of carbon-fibre off an armatan kwad frame, and broken a receiver in half ham-fisting a receiver removal from a kwad!

Oh yes. I’ve learned to slit cut apart the VHB with a razor blade and chemically remove both sides slowly after. Never prying it off with screwdrivers again. Lol

Yeah he is too busy feeling sorry for himself to concentrate on his own forum. To be fair it does give the new guys a direction because with the seo that site has its the first place they go and maybe now will actually get the help they need.

One of my partner have used it for 1 year without any problem. Yea I dont like the calibrate thing but I think its fixed now. Will test more. Customer can choose between this 3 when ordering the new board

Please test it! If it really has been fixed, then definitely keep it in the line up; trigger remotes are awesome. If it hasn’t been fixed, then I wouldn’t feel comfortable selling such a thing to customers, especially with boards of your power

Love it and oh dear I wish I had not noticed.

One day I’ll redo my griptape to be a bit more even.

While we’re on the topic Mike and everyone else. This cute lady used to have an amazing channel years ago and she stopped but the content is still ace.
