@glyphiks what kind of spot welder is that! Seems like a pretty good intro spot welder.
@Darklinks sick helmet…whether or not it’s a lacroix doesnt matter. I want one lol

https://www.cyclegear.com/gear/shark-x-drak-terrence-helmet?rrec=true Here you go lol

These paint stripping disks are worth their weight in gold.

The deck looks nice too

This thing was kind of a pain, lol. Routed out the Hummie deck a bit more for a bigger battery and reinforced the cutout with FG, routed front channels and laid some 18ga wire for headlights, and skinned the main bottom in CF for even more robustness and sex appeal. The top is pretty dope too.

@rich What purpose do you have for that 120 mm case fans, beside motor cooling?

They are only 80mm

This is the last try to heal my depression.

The 6384 motors overheat after 10-15 minutes and need a break. The previous SK8 overheat (100°C) after 20-30 minutes. I’m talking about flat terrain and outside temp 25-30°C. I have a fresh battery for long range and can’t ride long, so annoying.

I think we should come up with a water cooling spray or similar solution :smirk:

BTW, if your solution works, I need details

They looked like 120’s. No noctua fans(austrian quality):stuck_out_tongue:?
My motor doesn’t overheat, because my mount and the truck are working as a big heatsink.

Exactly what I gonna try now :joy:. Spray of natural water and dirt.

It rained the whole day and I go for a dirty evening ride now (without the fans). It’s only 21°C so I’m curious how long it takes until the motors cook.

My mount gets hot as well, I don’t know the melting point of POM (housing and gear) but that can’t be good.

If the fans doesn’t help I’ll switch back to the closed Maytech, they didn’t overheat last summer afaik but they were not reliable for me, had a couple.

It’s quite high. 175 °C actually. Klaus and I will update you asap, when we have our builds finished and working and running with the maytech ones.

I need to find me a hummie deck asap and get it to you

How would you configure the vescs to use drill batteries?

Im still dialing everything up. The batteries add up to a 10s2p i believe so i go from that. My next thread will include the Power tool battery build also.

How did you get around the amp draw? Wouldnt the bms inside the pack limit what you need to pull? And for that matter how do you know how many amps are available? Guesswork?
