Anecdotal evidence is not proof, but I have never had trouble running the Mini remote from straight uncut 1S li-ion voltages.
I do charge it extremely infrequently though as itās a giant 18500 cell in there, so itās only seen 4.2V maybe 5 times ever despite being used every day for over two years.

cleaned 'em upā¦ degreased, inspected, back-lash checkedā¦ pooped in more grease and I called it goodā¦ everything looked PERFECT!
I did some st00pid shit today and had to clean her up anyway, so i checked 'em outā¦ I did honestly think the gears were slightly louder than newā¦ not much but someā¦ sheās quiet like mouse nowā¦ I think maybe Iāll poop some lube if it gets louder, or in another month or so, and Iāll recheck in another 2,000kms
