@Regular_Michael Definitely need more picture of that Yota. Such an amazing car.
This is a full JDM import into Aussie land and this particular model (AE86 Coup) was never officially sold here so it’s super rare.
It was also the only JDM in the show and shine, the rest were Aussie V8’s.
How are you planning on connecting the groups?
This is the wheel I saw over a year ago with no markings
It’s finally out!
It’s not out, it says “PRE-ORDER”
(Those words mean offloading the risk onto the consumer because they’re not sure enough about their abilities to take the risk themselves)
B-Rye what exactly do you do for a living again?
Instock here and already at some local skate shops
Rides short boards. In saltwater. For profit.
I was thinking maybe he’s one of those lawyers that proof reads the fine prints on stuff and forgot when work ends and letting stuff go begins.
Brand new deck! New mold and a new shape. I’m using it on a build that I’ve got going.
Hell yeah man. Does it have a name yet, and will it be going up for sale soon?
He should do a community-based name selection and then just never announce the results and let folks continue suggesting names for months on end, in order to get the most free labor possible at the expense of the community’s sanity.
Yes, It’s called the Warlord. I should have it ready by the Newyear. It’s got the Odashi footbed with 35/35 nose/tail angles. I did the one pictured with a bunch of carbon-fiber, but it will be available in bamboo/fiberglass as well.
I believe the community had fun with it
Ben. Can you tell me about this place?
How far is it and how much to ride?
It’s just under 2 hours from where I live. First heard about it when Evolve rented it and did a big weekend there. It was a great weekend. When I was there I bumped into a guy who does work for the centre who I did a winter season with years ago. I got hold of him recently and he introduced me to the owner.
Had a long chat with him. Turns out his 2 kids are high level motocross and supercross riders which I think drove the centre originally. Now he markets it as a multi use centre so people can do private hire of the place. Almost 100% electric usage now, he has a fleet of electric bikes and runs a lot of junior stuff to get kids into things at grass roots level.
We sorted out an afternoon of casual riding, there were 16 of us riding and we paid £30 each. Then a tenner each for an amazing home cooked meal for after.
We are going to hopefully grow it and make it a regular thing, perhaps once a month and look to getting a bigger weekend event organised.
That’s…
Incredibly fucking cool
