I am just a tiny bit sad that the deck is blue and plastic, and not black carbon, but I knew what I was buying.
I am eyeing one more that is actually black and carbon, but this would turn into money wasting for now.
I have 3 ideas, hence the 3 boards.
One board is for endurance, one board is stealth and the most it can look NOT eskate, and the other is for the smallest build challenge, that I will turn to the lightest e skate possible.
At the moment more issues than success, fucked the spot welding a bit on the endurance board, will most likely need to shim the BN GD which is a bit odd, maybe JB weld..not so sure on the wheels as well.
For the light one bought the wrong type of caliber motor mount, which is facing in reverse position, I must have for some reason though it will face backwards on the front truck. I was completely sure I will use venoms, but I love the weight of shark wheels so one more thing I am not sure, bought 15mm trammpa Ali pulley just in case.
Not really looking to pull big power from the stealth one, as long as the roads are paved the board is very fine. Will not be climbing hills, but a single hub is a disaster of brake,second hub adds a killo.. I might up the wheel size, but that would need new esc and new hub.
Alright, let’s see where I am at.
100% decided against Mach venoms for the light build, at around 250grams per wheel they are not cutting it.
An as example a 80mm shark wheel is around 160 grams, so near 400 gram difference per 4 wheels.
BUT due to skills and tools available to me I was not able to make the pulley work with them. Proprietary core.
Temperary solution, I will just take stock Lou wheels for now, they work great with Trampa pulley.
Now I need to get the new motor mount, figure out the exact motor, any recommendations for the 5065 size? Flipsky or race star? Find some 158mm caliber trucks, that are now unicorn. And that’s it for now.
For the daily driver board I did shimed the gear drive, I don’t like the solution, but it works, I wasn’t not able to tighten everything very hard, but to a point where everything is solid. I will leave it at that, but will dismantle again if absolutely any issues acure.
The stance is very wide, also the wheels are off setted which makes things even worse, but only a different gear drive system would solve this. I am leaving the Boa’s for now, board is getting 3d printed risers, that I can almost squish a bit. Also the all new caliber III trucks in the back. The board in theory should ride with out any programming, just needs the battery sorted. I am very seriously thinking of rebuilding the whole pack.

Somewhat boredom, somewhat lost ideas inspired update. Ideas where thrown around .
The Hub one (blue) no update, still using it as a 1wd original hub setup. Only had the original battery cells swapped to VTC6. This is the second pack I am trying to figure out. The original BMS burnt out and it is very difficult to find a BMS that narrow.
Can’t figure out what hub set up I want, but nothing commercialy available seems interesting or worth it.
The Mighty One, black one. Tossed the idea of using BN setup with gear drive and 6355 motor. Also trashed the 10S2P pack that I was working on. Really hate the way those side groups are working out. At the moment have absolutely nothing for it besides the 150 Caliber truck, wrong orientation motor mount, and I have a rear boosted truck with mounts on order. Maybe that will spark some ideas.

I cooked this energy dense battery pack from 50S cells.
I think this is my second best battery build.
A few non huge issues with the build.
Motor mount was not working out on a such narrow truck, it took 2 hours of very careful hand filling to achieve this.
The mount is a bit too close to the board, I don’t know if I should file it or print angled riser pad, but the truck is already at 50, not really keen on going more.
Besides that I need to get my order of fish paper and some extras and will be able to start the build. Already have the vesc wires set up. Biggest job is figuring out how I would like to mount everything.
