Oh wow looks like a Duck Battery 12s6p PCB pack would match that perfectly. Let us know if you need a US battery supplier lol
Edit
Wait maybe not?
Your pgroups are 3 over 3 and ours is 2 over 4

Yeah wont fit unless 3 over 3. Height matters a lot too. It can be overall 2mm taller than the cells and thats it.
The current carrying capacity would be a concern too if using a top pcb due to busses only being 3 cells wide. May need .1mm copper
don’t forget about me!
Front hangar of XP3 after re-machining.
Can you tell us more about this? Seems very cool!
“Torque vectoring system named RTS (Radium Torque Steering)”
Depending on the steering angle of the board the RTS system will deliver a different amount of power to each motor when on the throttle or braking.
This has many benefits, some of which include:
-Power steering. The motors force the rear truck to turn reducing understeer on corner exit and stabilise the board under braking.
-Increased traction. More power is delivered to the wheel with the most weight over it.
-Improved sensation of connection to the board as the motors actively help it stay under you when under throttle.
It is very complicated to develop and will only continue to improve over time. Its also something we would be open to selling to other vendors in future.
Despite its infancy I already can’t ride without it. It’s just not the same.
You can sort of see it here delivering more power to a different wheel depending on which way I’m turning, although overcompensating on gravel because its in street mode.
Huh, I thought it’d be the outer wheel receiving more power.
Have you experimented with RTS + speed wobbles? I imagine it would make them worse
Also, why go with an external hardware solution rather than using an ESC with an IMU and programming it into vesc tool?
Sorry if this has been covered, what are those wheels on the board they look awesome
That’s in the RPi? Why not use VESC to do it?
Cause then its harder to sell
charging for complementary software when the entire code for the esc is free is a big thorn in my eye tbh. But you know, thats just me
Voyage, Ennoid, WavRX and other VESC accessories seem to have no issues with that.
The hardware has the necessary parts like the IMU and such, the software is the value proposition.
I have no problem with people making money of something that the masses want, by all means go ahead. You’d think that the OS mindset the vesc project is spreading, enabling creators to do what they like and even profit for no cost would be infectious and not dettering tho. Makes me abit sad.
Lost count on the times Vedder got offered mountains of money for closing it down.
Is the Pi running with a fan?
Is it bad that part of me thinks that maybe writing the code into vesc fw or scripts would have been more difficult?
I mean, depends on the developer I guess. Most projects where I’ve used an OS based complementary platform instead of embeded, its been waaay more complicated to do the SW, especially in real time.
Then again, if this is a good thing(which it sounds like) and it takes off, it will probably catch vedders attention. making it free further down the road
We make this prayer in the hopes that the holy lord Vedder will bless us once more.
Or you know, make the 35 minute drive there and talk to him xD
I think the glaring issue here is that vesc is shit.
