I would argue against this. You can take a cheap 60V ESC and run it at 40V at low amperage and often it will outlive the rest of the vehicle. Which implies that often it’s not the hardware, but how we’re using it that causes the problems. Running a 60V ESC at 12S is not a good idea if high reliability is on your agenda.
