Definitely prefer trigger, i’ve got a bunch of mini’s and gt2b’s. More throw or more dexterity in the trigger or something, makes it much easier to control. Downside is trigger is easier to bump and accidentally send your board flying. I still occasionally do this when i’m stopped at an intersection or something, but my wife and friends constantly do it when riding my boards… I’m switching one board to a thumb remote so its a bit safer for guest riders.
Really wish we could get some kind of safety feature in the vesc for this.
my favorite remote is the one that never drops signal so nano v2. However, from a “feel” perspective the Maytech “R2” is my favorite remote hands down.
I’ve tried the hoyt puck for about 20 yards, but I want to try that one out more.
It is damn hard to beat the reliable connection, price point, and finger loop on the nano v2 imo, I twirl that shit about like a cowboy at a shootout.
Nahhh. Pretty simple. If you’re using your index finger, pull to go… using your thumb, push to go. I actually use my thumb remote,
Kill my 10s4p and use my trigger right after to keep the ride going!
This is why I can’t use thumb wheels – and, if I did, they’d have to be inverted where rolling the wheel back towards me was throttle.
Of course when you’re thinking about it it’s easy but in that split second when a car pulls out in front of you, it’s instinct driving and instinct for me says “push forward for brake”
Dude. The trampa wand with the handle… Seriously. Could that look any more like a gun?!?’ Off course it was invented in a country where the police are not shooting people left and right…
it’s interesting so many people use vanilla mini/gt2b’s without modding the case. i never even considered using them as is, they’re so bulky and hideous.
