Where do you plan to ride? Is your budget low or high? Do you want range or power?

Evolve 6" tires fit well and the price is reasonable.
They also have 7" tires which are also compatible with rockstars II.

Hey @ducktaperules Sunmate wheels have been mentioned a few times in this thread. Do they belong in the compendium?

There are various sizes at that link.

You can get what are think are sunmate wheels in different places for example Metroboard sells 200mm/8" ones with 8mm ID bearings:

Propulsion:

Flipsky:

All with different configurations of bolted-on pulley or not…

I guess that makes it difficult to answer the questions of compatibility - maybe out of scope for your compendium.

It’s a wiki, you should be able to edit it. I think those come up several times on the forum when you search the keyword untrampa

what does the 5 at the end of this tire info means?
Tire 8x2.00-5

will it fit on a mbs rockstar hub?

8 is an 8" tire outside diameter
2.00 is a 2" tire sidewall width
5 is a 5" rim diameter

I think

and no, it won’t, I don’t think

right that makes sense, thanks man.

Yep, I’ve found that when they use X (200x50) it’s talking about total diameter and width.

If it uses a decimal number and hyphen (2.00-4) it’s talking about tire OD minus ID and then hub diameter. So that 2.00-4 tire would be 2 + 4 + 2 = 8" tire.

I don’t believe someone’s mentioned these wheels earlier, but I wanted to ask and see if anyone knew of any pulleys that fit this?

No answer on pulleys but be careful on those “solid” tires. Most of them are just foam inserts where the tube should be and the tire will still wear out just as quickly if not faster than pneumatic.

i can say i have 10" airless on my 10x i put over 2k miles on and still got plenty of rubber left.the sleeve itself is still pretty much the same tire sleeve that ud put a inner tube in.

I trust you as a human but I’ve never got near that much life out of tires.

Update on the 150 evolve tire. This tire mounted up nicely on a half inch stretch 93 mm sunmate wheel. We tested this at intro to speed the tire was neither great or bad it just okay. Grip level and grip lost were both very predictable it was no match with our beloved 155 Metro Tire. For track racing the word level was high it’s hard to say on with normal use

We also tested the sunmate 150x50 on the half inch stretch 93mm sunmate wheel. I believe also torque boards has this same or similar tire on their website. This tire is much better than the evolve 150, not as good as a 155 Metro but would make a great all-around practice/race Tire and cruising Tire. Guys were surprised as was I with it’s performance. Stretching these made them better, the non stretched set on @fessyfoo board were just so-so. We ran these at 27psi and had a flat on the rear. Still waiting to hear from Torgerson on the cause.

What’s my best option for 9” treaded tires if MBS 9” T2s are sold out and and I don’t want to buy Trampa wheels?

I always struggle to find them without having to use Aliexpress and wait :disappointed:

I ordered these on Ali on the 19th after a few pointers from @Venom121212

I know it’s Ali and a wait but they shipped fast and mine are already in Canada (hopefully they come to me this week)
