Connecting the bullets to the nickel tabs is the last step before wrapping up the batteries. It was pretty nice to be able to do the rest of the work on the wiring, without any of the cell groups being energized. Hopefully looks slick enough that TSA won’t think it’s diy
Internal wires all glued down, foam sandwiches for the batteries top and bottom.

Yeah, the bullet holders are glued to the inside of the enclosure, but that’s not enough. So I added wood screws going in from the outside
The screws don’t hold the P-groups onto the bullets, that is just from compression

Got some random intermittent braking the other night, and did a walk of shame back home. Thought at first that my LegStick™ tether might have gotten frayed from an earlier incident but it turned out to be an internal short on the right motor. Took it apart and found the offending coil:
Could either be the dirt and water ingress at the base of the coil, or the hits that the motor has taken from its low ground clearance. Either way, I should probably get some battle hardened motors at this point. I’ve heard good things about the recent flipsky iterations, yes?

Battle hardened the windings too, they’re now fully sealed against moist forms of intrusion
Printed some fenders with ~tasteful wood paneling~ , splashed some puddles today and they’re mostly effective. This thing is turning into a 1980s station wagon, though.
@Evwan you’re right about the motors sounding crazy. They function as an easily readable speedometer now.
