Fucking Days of Our Lives in here.
I didn’t aim my comment specifically at you broseph. Sorry if you took offense.
Sure getting things tested is great for everyone, and if he can hand out samples for free thats even greater. Personally I think that if I’m invested enough in making this build happen(and the decks do look quality enough to safely stand on), I can contribute a coin towards somoenes craftmansship. If he dont need the coin, then thats great. Kudos.
I just wouldn’t feel right.
Better yet, don’t send it to me. I don’t want to be like the stupids in here arguing.
Good luck with everything!
I would imagine a integrated deck of this style would have a super big hump on the bottom if made double stacked to the point that it would almost look more like an enclosure and would defeat the purpose of an integrated deck.
well it could be thicker overall to disguise that
Yeah, that would work but @tomiboi seems to be adding a hump to the enclosure area rather then making the bottom of the deck uniform shape.
he mentioned he could make it thicker for heavier riders
Really looking forward to seeing where this goes, if you get these right I can see you being a popular bloke. I’m following the testing with bated breath - there could be some cool machines built with these decks for sure. Best of luck to all the testers!
I have a crush on the 121c Aileron looking one, and the double shovel-tail would make an awesome Hummie- or Neo- Hub build.
If all the posts in here that have been flagged get removed this thread would make no sense.
@Halbj613 congrats on your opportunity to be a tester of these sick looking decks. Sounds like you have been challenged to do a good job of that. In particular calling attention to a seriousness the community expects from an early tester. Do your best. As your critics suggested, they’ll be happy if you make them eat their words.
@tomiboi wow these look awesome. as has been said. but. wow.
I wish I was further along in my progression. I definitely want to an integrated deck build one day. I hope this venture works out.
The hump is a little over an inch thick and difficult to see when the board is on the ground. BUT I have to say that I didn’t specifically design these to be stealth integrated decks. They are meant to be high performance decks made specifically for esk8. I want them to feel good and last a long time. Of course, they are meant to be pretty too
But if I make the deck thicker at the truck mounts, there will be wheel bite issues. The way i did it gives good clearance.
While on shut down I played a little dress up with the test decks before I sent them out. All testers will have their decks in less than a week and then let the games begin. If all goes well, I will do revisions and do a small batch for others interested. I can’t do anymore for free, but we’ll figure out a fair price. Thanks again for all of the interest. I’ll keep working to make them better. I’m really excited to see all the different builds that people might do with them
That kind of looks like it has a hump. If you paint mine black it would look similar.
if you make a double stack I will gladly send it to @Sender to get his magic on it and then I’ll move the guts from my existing to this one
I can do these. For the most part I just have to stack more veneer. I get 46 inch veneer right now and cut it in half to make the compartment. That way I get two layers out of one piece. To do double stacks, I have to use full length veneer. It just costs more and will increase the weight, but it can be done.
