FWIW, this kit in street form wasn’t bad for me once I got rid of the godawful twitchy ESC. Still have the drivetrain, worked fine the last time I used it. If expectations are suitably low, they will be ok. Just be aware that these cast trucks have snapped clean in half on people.

yeh they definitely have issues, and the pictures people post of broken trucks are spooky. But I ran them for almost two years on my riptide r1 (first board) with no issues and 0 belt changes.
