$2200* or did you get out of paying shipping somehow?
I was wondering why you would run an AC motor, because batteries only give DC current?
That would mean you need a DC to AC converter aswell?
Probably what the inverter is for
Sure plus shipping.
Our motors are technically AC motors, since the ESC drives them through 3 phase wires. They’re just called brushless DC motors since you would power the ESC with DC / in BLDC driving mode you’re sending DC in an alternating pattern.
Because electric car always using Ac motor. Is easier to make for large volume. It need an inverter and gearbox also.
Yes because ac motors can only rotate one way right?
What?.. Are you intentionally spitballing random nonsense? No, the motors on our boards arent dc driven, of course you can run an AC motor both ways
No …
Can see how AC motor is made.
Im sorry, i was confused with this kind of motor.
Also @jeffwuneo thanks man, ur a very patient man.
By dead I just mean that there just isn’t much discussion anymore. Most people have moved onto either production EVs or AC motor kits which are now a very simple way to do a conversion. Companies have pulled out of the DIY market because there just isn’t a market for it anymore. While there is heaps of cool stuff to work with still, don’t expect heaps of new developments
There’ll always be people who wish to restore old classic cars to EV.
Oh for sure! It’s just far less common than it used to be unfortunately
My Genie is offering to help, but is asking for the left nut. Deal?
If needing help for motor, can we provide with AC induction motor. For battery if in USA can buying Tesla module from Model S which is good for battery pack. Can also using chevy bolt battery pack which also good for starting option.
Jeff are those motors able to hold 200kw?
Can you PM the info?
@eBoosted Yes can easy do 200kw. We have some motor for 800V. I send you message.
