Maker X Dv6 left over port

Just curious of what I can use this extra port for? I have my remote in the other one

Thats just the PPM port for “dumb” remotes.

that what i thought. it would be to risky to add a ppm receiver for anything else no point in taking away signal from that dumb remote

Lol

It’s actually a quite reliable way of data transmission, but without meta data from your board.

That’s actually a PWM port. And, they actually label it correctly.

could i use this to run led lights or am i best just using a buck and usb port

No, it’s a PWM input, not an output.

A buck converter is a much better choice for lights. I don’t think you need a USB port, you can just hardwire them.

thanks for that so all i need to do is add a switch to turn them on and off eliminating the usb port
