Goddamit Sharon
you made that one a bit too easy
Keep in mind the drop. THe 36 evo has closer to 27 usable inches of real estate
Not gonna lie, first time I stood on it, I was worried. I came from a 43" (more literal land yacht) bamboo push board . All loosy goosey. big enough to do basic dance steps and such. love that thing to death. I actually protoyped that out for electric but then bough the evo because it the bamboo is nicer for pushing
Aaaannyway, evo36 is where its at. im pretty close to 180cm / 6ā and have size 47/12 shoes. I love digging my feet into the drop. its great because you can really lean into acceleration and deceleration. SO you dont really need a wide stance. also makes turning easier , just dig into the vertical bits . acc/dec stability is top tier.
its currently set to a top speed of 34mph and I top it out often enough. no problems on my bushings. Its set about as tight as possible, while still letting me slalom the lane divider lines.
I am also a very avid speed freak, though about 90% of my experience is snowboarding. Ive always riden very low to the ground. basically squating the whole time. idk if thats relevant
while the bamboo board was akin to a cruiser , the evo36 is much more the corvette.
and the evo40 probably more like a gunboat.
Tldr;
I can only compare the evo36 to a long flat board, and its WAYYY better. Canāt speak for a longer board with drop. But I wouldnāt trade it for a bigger one
Nope.
TKP Evo is godly
If it has 27 inches thatās awesome more than my 39 inch board
I bought a 36 and I regret it, I got used to the shorter size but really wish I went longer
Let me go measure
So, about 22" between the bottom of the drops (inside)
27" between tops of drops
I prefer the 40, its the most stable board Iāve ever been on.
Thanks yeah looks like Iām going 40
Lammmeee
Evo 36 is king
i had the same conflict with myself, im 1,79m and i dont regret getting the 40, alltough i adore the red color of the 36
I got a 36", while itās not as stable as the 40" evo it has a couple of advantages. The smaller size makes for a great commuter that is easy to take on the train/bus and it still has really good stability, itās also more fun to do carving on. Iām 180cm and I donāt mind the smaller stance, suppose thatās highly individual though.
If you mainly want to go fast Iād go with the 40", for an all around board that can do it all the 36" is a great deck imo.
