Looking for help with a Flipsky dual 6.6 esc issue

So, I’m currently working on a build, and am using the newest vesc tool to set up my esc. when i originally plugged it in, it said that i would need to update it in the firmware tab for it to not run in limited mode. i then uploaded the new firmware, and restarted and reconnected it.

It currently says that it has the exact firmware that i started with, and ive tried multiple times to no avail. when i plug the cable into the usb port on the other side of the esc, it says it has the newest firmware, but one side seems to not be able to update.

Any help would be much appreciated.

  1. you could always try ACK FW, might fix your problems

  2. I know there are backup ways to load fw… Let me search some up

It doesn’t have a bootloader, you need to download the bootlader.

I downloaded the boot loader before updating, so that shouldn’t be the issue

That would be great if you could find some other way to load fw, thanks

Then you might have destroyed the bootloader that might be on it previously.
You’ll have to reprogram using an st-link.

I’m not familiar with that term, how would I go about that?

Although these instructions are for the Unity, they should also work with your vesc. Just make sure to read over the post and make sure before you do anything.
