Did you contact LLT? I’ve been sent the wrong wiring harnesses and they’re pretty speedy to get back with the right bridging / pinouts. They seem to iterate pretty quickly so what was once correct may not be anymore.

I use AliExpress but their messaging system is absolute shit.

They replied and said that the harness is correct and it must be my wires that are wrong.Ive sent multiple pictures and videos showing they are in the correct order , and they now think it could possibly be an external short?
I have asked for a replacement harness to rule that out.

The cells are just mounted to a pcb. Bms wire traces run down the middle of the pcb to a jst connector
Ok . I figured it out … free gift if anybody guesses what was wrong .

Your cells were backwards because the A123 cells have opposite polarity

Ish…… my other half borrowed my multimeter and put the probes in back to front. I didn’t think to change them back

This saga was so riveting; I also have an LLT BMS and even though I successfully did a charge test, I’m afraid I may have still gotten something wrong and I’ll only find out in the wild.

That reminds me of one time, I was using my scopemeter while fault-finding some food wrapping machine, and shit didn’t make sense until I realised I was using a scope probe with one hand, and the ground probe belonged to my DMM (multimeter). Meanwhile, the scope ground was floating. You learn most from the mistakes!
