They’re half around half the range per weight of li-ion.
They are far better in nearly every other way. They are higher current, faster charge, last 3x as long, work in arctic cold (just don’t charge them in cold), and are generally safer.
3 of my boards use LiFePO4. They are fan-fucking-tastic for shorter range and commuter boards.
If max-range is your thing, steer clear. For every other need, consider them strongly.
