Thank you for the links, I disassembled my puck, and inspected the potentiometer. Even though all solder joints looked good, I resoldered them with more solder. It looks like it fixed the problem! I also liked the idea of adding some hot glue afterward (thinking more about it, will make it harder to replace in case of failure, so not sure if I should do it or not). I am good for now.
